Youth Policy in Bombay
State youth policy is one of the vital policies that needs a serious concern of
the government for the welfare and development of the Youth that constitute the
maximum population of the Country. Feeling an urgent need to take a step and initiate
to brainstorm over drafting of such a policy, many organizations came forward in
Maharastra and for about a month discussed and held deliberations in order to formulate
the final State Youth Policy Draft.
On 12 Jan, 2010 CYDA and the other stakeholders for the Youth Policy draftwere invited
at Yashwanrao Chavan auditorium at Mumbai whereby the final State Youth policy draft
had been handed over to the Government of Maharashtra ceremoniously in a grand function
to its representatives. Some youths with outstanding achievements were also awarded
in the function. Honourable MP Smt. Supriya Sule was present along with some ministers
of Maharashtra. The dignitaries stressed over the issues ranging from students growth,
development and opportunities. Students suicidal tendency was also discussed. "One
of the major task that the Government should initiate was the national integration;
the feeling of oneness, discarding the very subtle feeling of regionalism, fundamentalism,
caste , creed and religion", asserted one of the minister. They also discussed about
giving more opportunites to the rural youths.
